Delete your Wind HQ account
Wind HQ is the lesson-scheduling app for kite stations. You can delete your account yourself, from the app or from this page, and you can clear parts of what it holds without deleting it.
Deleting your account
- Open Wind HQ, tap your picture in the top corner, then Profile, then Privacy.
- Tap "Start deleting". Nothing is removed yet.
- Thirty days pass, and you can cancel from the same screen at any point in them. After that your profile is removed and your memberships are archived.
Delete your account on the web — the same screen, once you have signed in.
If you are the only owner of a station, transfer its ownership or close the station first; the screen says so and offers both.
If you cannot sign in, write to ops@windhq.app
We will answer within 15 days, and we will not ask you why.
Deleting part of your data, keeping the account
You do not have to delete the account to remove what it holds:
- Your picture — remove it on the Profile screen.
- Your weight and height — clear them on the Profile screen.
- Your emergency contact and insurance — clear them on the same screen.
For anything else, write to ops@windhq.app
What is deleted
Your name, email address, phone numbers, picture, body measurements, emergency contact and insurance details, and the account itself.
What is kept, and for how long
- The lessons a station taught you stay in that station's own records, with your name removed. When a station leaves Wind HQ, its data is deleted within 90 days.
- Money owed stays owed, and accounting records are kept for as long as tax law requires.
- A schedule's history is append-only: a change already made is not edited away, because both sides rely on that record being honest.
What remains of you in those records is stripped of the fields that name you. If you want a record itself gone rather than de-identified, ask us and we will tell you honestly which parts we can remove and which we are required to keep.
